BREAKING NEWS: Woman shoots Clayton County officer before being shot by Atlanta police
This eye-opening story sheds light on how risky the job of law enforcement is, whether you’re a police officer or a security guard. This Clayton County officer responded to a suicide call and was met with multiple gunshots in return. A day in the life of law enforcement is filled with the unexpected and there’s no way to get around that. Instead of going around it, we have to go through it. This officer received two hours of suicide prevention training in May 2022. However, it did not prepare her for an occurrence like this.
Thankfully, the officer survived the shooting and is being treated for her injuries. We wish her a speedy recovery.
At Skylar Security, we strive to provide a high level of security to our clients, our community, and our guards. The Atlanta Interim Police Chief Darin Schierbaum rightfully described this as “a demonstration of law enforcement’s dedication across this region and the quality of the men and women that wear the badge for their respective communities.”
It takes great bravery and dedication to stand at the forefront and provide safety and security.
We at Skylar Security applaud the hard work of our fellow law enforcement personnel and we remind you that Security is an Emotion™ and Everyone deserves to be safe.®
